CONTACTThe Center for Educational Measurement, Inc. (CEM) and Merchant Marine Academy of Caraga, Inc. (MMACI) formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) designating MMACI as the CEM Institutional Testing Center in Butuan City and nearby provinces.
The MOA signing took place on February 2, 2026, at the MMACI Quality Assurance Room. The agreement was signed by Dr. Grace H. Aguiling-Dalisay, CEM President and CEO, and Dr. Dennis P. Mausisa, MMACI School President and COO.
Also present during the signing were Ms. Janet T. Evasco, Director for the Institutional Development Division, and Mr. Dionisio Cervantes, Associate Director for Accounts Management in Mindanao, for CEM; and Dr. Ian S. Tampan, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Jocelyn D. Ramos, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Mendelyn Baldo, Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, for MMACI.
Officials from both institutions emphasized the significance of the partnership in advancing educational assessment, strengthening institutional capacity, and supporting regional development. The establishment of the CEM Butuan Center at MMACI reflects a shared commitment to integrity, excellence, and innovation in education, while expanding access to quality assessment services in the Caraga Region.
Effective immediately, MMACI will assume responsibility for the operations of the CEM Butuan Center, which was previously managed by the CEM Davao Branch. For inquiries and coordination, please refer to the following contact details:
