Research Section Head

  • At least a Master’s Degree in a related field of education/psychology, testing, measurement, research, and evaluation
  • 5 years or more of progressive management experience in the field of education, testing, measurement, research, and evaluation. 
  • Knowledge of leadership and management principles
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and operational aspects of testing, measurement, research, and evaluation
  • Knowledge of current market challenges and opportunities relating to the mission of the company
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management
  • Proficiency in the use of computers: Word Processing, Database Management, Presentations, Email Communications, and Internet

Key Competencies

The Research Section Head should demonstrate competence in some or all of the following:

NETWORK ENGINEER

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology related field of study with a network engineering focus
  • Three (3) to five (5) years hands-on experience in NOC
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
  • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, and controllers.
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
  • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communications systems
  • Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection
  • Ability to learn quickly new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization
  • Able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable and flexible when necessary
  • Network security experience
  • LAN and WAN experience
