Eligibility & Registration Requirements
The NaMMAT is required for individuals who intend to continue their maritime education and training program in the Philippines. It is open to both Filipino and foreign individuals who are:
- senior high school graduates,
- graduating senior high school students at the current school year, or
- degree holders or those who have previously completed some college-level courses.
Retesting or retaking the NaMMAT is allowed.
Validity period and minimum cut-off score
Your NaMMAT result does not expire, and the cut-off score will be based on schools’ Quality Standard System (QSS).
Requirements
Before you register online, make sure that you have the following:
- Valid and working email account that you will use for your online application. Important notifications will be sent to your email address such as the NaMMAT Registration form, mailing alerts, and other advisories.
- A physical format of School or any Government-issued ID (regardless of validity) that you will present on your actual test day. Acceptable valid IDs are outlined in the NaMMAT BOI.
The name that you will enter in the NaMMAT Online Registration System should match the details on the valid ID that you will present when you sit for the NaMMAT. The name that you enter during the creation of your account will appear on ALL your NaMMAT forms, including the NaMMAT Masterlist of Test Results.
All information that you entered during the registration process shall be considered correct and final after the end of the registration period.
NOTE: Refrain from creating multiple accounts if you already have one verified account to avoid inconveniences. You will not be able to proceed with the registration to NaMMAT if multiple accounts are detected by the online registration system.
How to apply for the NaMMAT?
- Create your account
- Verify your email address
- Login in the online portal and complete your online registration
- Check your email (e.g., inbox, SPAM, and junk folder) for your NaMMAT Registration Form
- Check your email and your NaMMAT account for your NaMMAT Exam Permit at least 2 days before your actual test day

Changing information on your NaMMAT registration
If you need to change some or all the personal information on your NaMMAT registration, follow the instructions below:
- Click the Edit Registration link under the Online Options on the NaMMAT website and proceed accordingly. Examinees with successful registration can edit their application only within the registration period.
- If changes have been made successfully, you will receive a new NaMMAT Registration Form on your email. Discard the old form immediately.
The change can only be done during the registration period. However, only the NaMMAT Secretariat is authorized to change/correct names and birth dates at any given time. Requests for name corrections and birth date changes must be sent through the Contact Us Here form.
