Brief Description of the Test
The NaMMAT is a two-part aptitude test. Part 1 of the assessment evaluates personal and interpersonal traits through statement-based items that reflect characteristics essential for future maritime professionals. This section aims to identify your key strengths, attributes, and personality traits that contribute to success in the maritime field.
Part 2 measures academic proficiency and reasoning skills; the items assess areas that are part of the academic background required of applicants to the maritime course. Most items, except for some recall- based questions, require higher-order thinking skills such as application and analysis. Relevant details are provided in Table 1.
