Centralized seminar-workshops

Centralized seminar-workshops are seminars that are regularly scheduled by CEM and are conducted in one site, either at the CEM head office function room or at any CEM host schools, and attended by different member schools.  Two seminar-workshops are conducted exclusively for CEM member schools and test subscribers – Interpreting and Utilizing CEM Achievement Test Data and Interpreting and Utilizing CEM Career Guidance Test Data.

The Professional Education Program Series is a subsidized paid seminar also offered by CEM.

Member schools regularly receive invitation letters and schedules of the centralized seminars-workshops.

Professional Education
Program Series (PEPS)

The Professional Education Program Series is an intensive four-day seminar-workshop that aims to strengthen teachers' knowledge in subject matter content and help them develop strategies to stimulate learning among their students. Various PEPS modules in English/Reading, Filipino, Mathematics and Science are available at the elementary and high school levels.

The modules are designed to expose the participants not only to the usual algorithms and procedures, but also to the different activities that will develop higher levels of critical thinking. Topics are linked to their previous knowledge in the different concepts and to how these concepts are used in other areas of learning. The modules ensure that exercises and real-life situations are used to model theories, thus giving more meaning to the concepts, rules and principles discussed.

Target participants: Teachers

Schedules: October to November (Head Office), May to June (Centers)
