Reporting to the Director of the General Administration Division, the IT Section Head handles the information technology needs of the organization and leads the implementation of computer/automated systems to fulfill the organization’s information systems requirements efficiently, in consultation with the various stakeholders of CEM, and in accordance with the company’s standards and guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assigns, leads, and guides a group of technically competent personnel to automate operational processes
- Prepares annual plans and budget and assesses the manpower requirements of the section
- Prioritizes the automation of the processes that are vital to the Company’s operation
- Provides technical assistance to the Company’s internal or external clients.
- Ensures business continuity by managing all existing automated systems in accordance with CEM guidelines and with the Data Privacy Act of 2012, implementing a disaster/recovery plan, and generating full documentation of all automated systems of the whole IT infrastructure
- Implements security measures to protect and secure the databases or database management software from illegitimate use and malicious threats and attacks; determines the data center’s vulnerabilities, defines and implements a road in order to mitigate them.
Qualifications
- Graduate of any of the following courses: BS Computer Science, BS Computer Engineering, BS Information Technology, BS Information Systems, Electronics and Communications Engineering, BS Statistics (Heavy on IT training) with relevant or related Master’s degree.
- At least ten (10) years of experience in systems/application development and 3 years of managerial role
- Thorough knowledge in the application of the different SDLC methodologies in system development, relational databases (RDMS), database and data center management and security, cybersecurity, total quality management and statistical principles
- Proficiency in business writing, project management, documentation, communication and risk management, and mitigation
