ELCOM - ELEMENTARY LEVEL COMPETENCY MEASURE

The Elementary Level Competency Measure (ELCOM) features a battery of high school aptitude tests. It measures an elementary graduate's potential for high school work. Featuring tests in English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science, and Nonverbal Reasoning, the ELCOM yields 11 content area scores, 5 subtests scores, and 2 total scores. The total scores may be considered as indicators of scholastic potential for high school and may be used as one basis for admission to any secondary school in the Philippines. The ELCOM is a 2-hour test with 150 items that may be used as either a school-leaving examination or a high school admission test.

ATCU - ADMISSION TEST FOR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

The Admission Test for Colleges and Universities (ATCU) is also used by higher education institutions to screen applicants to college programs. It is a 240-item test administered for 2 hours and 35 minutes. It measures mental ability and proficiency in English, Mathematics, and Science. The ATCU is more comprehensive and more difficult than the CSAT, since it was normed on incoming college freshmen.

NAT - NURSING APTITUDE TEST

The Nursing Aptitude Test (NAT) is a 2-hour-and-35-minute test designed to screen gauge the potential for success of aspirants to the nursing profession. A 240-item test, it consists of test items in Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Facility, Science and Health Information, and Spatial Perception. Qualified test takers are high school seniors, high school graduates, college freshmen or college sophomores.

LSQT - LAW SCHOOL QUALIFYING TEST

The Law School Qualifying Test (LSQT), a 240-item test administered for 2 hours and 50 minutes, is designed to screen applicants to law school. It consists of subtests in Verbal Reasoning, Critical Thinking, Quantitative Ability, and Figural Reasoning. It also features an Essay Test designed to assess an applicant's ability to present ideas in written form. Intended users are graduates or graduating students of degree programs.

GLT - GRADUATE LEVEL TEST

The Graduate Level Test (GLT) aids educational institutions in the selection of candidates to graduate programs. The test consists of two parts: Part I is a 2-hour-and-15-minute test featuring multiple choice items in Verbal, Quantitative, and Inductive Reasoning. Part II is a 45-minute essay test designed to measure the examinee's ability to present ideas in written form. Intended users are graduates of degree programs and professionals intending to pursue graduate studies or master’s and doctoral degrees.

AMCAT - ALLIED MEDICAL COURSES ADMISSION TEST

The Allied Medical Courses Admission Test (AMCAT) is a 240-item, 3-hour test designed to measure the mental and academic abilities of examinees who intend to pursue allied medical (e.g. medical technology, physical therapy) and paramedical education. It consists of Verbal, Numerical, Inductive Reasoning, and Science tests. Intended users are high school graduates, college freshmen or college sophomores.

NMAT - NATIONAL MEDICAL ADMISSION TEST

The National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) is designed to determine the scholastic aptitude of those wishing to pursue a medical career. It was developed by the CEM for the Board of Medical Education of the Professional Regulation Commission and has been administering this examination since 1985 with new forms developed yearly. The NMAT is a mandatory test for those who wish to take up medical studies in the Philippines. The test is divided into two parts: Part I is a 200-item test battery on verbal, inductive reasoning, quantitative, and perceptual acuity skills administered for 3 hours. Part II is a 2-hour-30-minute test in the basic sciences namely, Biology, Physics, Social Sciences, and Chemistry, consisting also of 200 items. Qualified test takers are graduates and graduating students of degree programs.
