Using data to improve schools

CEM's programs and services are built on the idea that education is a process of change, and by measuring and studying this change, schools can have a sound basis for directing growth. Using data to examine and to change practice is therefore an important skill to develop among teachers and school administrators because it can drive imporvement of teaching and learning. This is the idea behind CEM's Classroom-Focused Improvement Project (CFIP).

The first phase of the project is concerned with developing and testing a professional learning program for educators on data-driven planning and teaching. The project affirms CEM's continuing commitment to help schools improve through measurement, research and professional development. One school in southern Philippines has been selected as a pilot test site.
